A 20kg box is roughly £60 to £90 by sea or £100 to £160 by air, all inclusive of documentation, transit, Nigeria customs clearance and delivery. There are no hidden fees. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.

Sea freight from £3/kg is the cheapest way to send cargo to Nigeria, especially for large or heavy shipments. The saving over air grows with weight: a 100kg shipment is about £300 to £450 by sea versus £500 to £700 by air. The trade off is time, 4 to 6 weeks by sea versus 5 to 10 working days by air.

Air freight takes 5 to 10 working days and sea freight takes 4 to 6 weeks, each including UK handling, transit to Lagos, Nigeria customs clearance and final delivery. R-Zone runs weekly air and sea departures, so your cargo joins the next available service.

Yes. Door to door means we collect from your UK address and deliver to the recipient door anywhere in Nigeria, with no depot visits. It is available on both air and sea from £6/kg, including UK collection, customs clearance and final mile delivery.

R-Zone delivers to Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Benin City and every state in Nigeria. Delivery to the main cities is included in the standard quote; remote destinations may carry a small onward delivery charge confirmed upfront at booking.

Yes. Every price includes Nigeria customs clearance through Nigeria Customs Service, plus NAFDAC and SON clearance where applicable, handled by our own team in Lagos. Import duty is a separate government charge that most personal use household goods attract little or none of.

Yes. R-Zone collects from any UK address, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Cardiff. Collection charges vary by location and are confirmed on your quote. You can also drop off free at our Upminster, Essex warehouse, Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 11am to 2pm.

Minimum weights depend on the service and the destination state, and are shown on the R-Zone schedules and prices page. Lagos has the lowest minimum. For very small parcels, ask us to compare cargo with an express courier so you get the cheapest option.

Prohibited items include illegal drugs, weapons and ammunition, explosives, counterfeit goods, currency and negotiable instruments, pornographic material and radioactive materials. Food, cosmetics, medicine and some electronics are restricted and may need NAFDAC or SON clearance, which R-Zone advises on before you ship.

Yes. R-Zone accepts garri, fufu, egusi, dried fish, crayfish, palm oil, ogi, elubo, beans, plantain chips, chin chin and most dry goods. Chicken-flavoured Indomie and Maggi, fresh meat and alcohol are not accepted.

Strong double-walled boxes give the best protection and are what we recommend. If you would rather send barrels, suitcases or large bags, tell us when you request your quote and we will confirm how they will be packed and priced. Everything is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is greater.

Yes. Every R-Zone shipment has a booking reference, and air shipments also carry an Air Waybill (AWB) while sea shipments carry a Bill of Lading. Enter any of these on the R-Zone tracking page to see status, customs progress and milestones.

Carrier liability is limited, so R-Zone offers optional marine transit insurance on your declared value, usually CIF plus 10 percent. The premium is confirmed on your quote. Cover is mandatory for goods declared above £5,000.

R-Zone accepts bank transfer (BACS or Faster Payments), debit and credit card, and PayPal. Full payment is due before cargo is shipped for individual customers; business accounts can agree 14 or 30 day terms in writing.
